Amy Altstatt, born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has viewed life through rainbows as long as she can remember. Drawing inspiration from folk tales and classic literature, her books often feel like existing folk stories told using the elements of nature, with themes of self-discovery and appreciation. Amy’s debut book, “Completely Rainbow,” won a Royal Dragonfly book award in 2016. Her illustrations were featured in the 29th annual Children’s book Illustration show at Sunrise Gallery in Hayward, California and she regularly contributes articles for an online publication for women, “Red Tent Living.” Amy currently resides in sleepy Walnut Grove in the California Delta with her husband and two daughters.
